About Niki's Oasis Restaurant & Jazz Bar

The soft murmur of a jazz trio threading through the dim lighting sets a distinctive mood before any dish arrives, making Niki's Oasis Restaurant & Jazz Bar feel like a refuge from the city's bustle. The decor blends understated elegance with a touch of urban vibe, creating an inviting space where patrons can linger. Among the few critiques noted in various Niki's Oasis Restaurant & Jazz Bar reviews, the acoustics sometimes make conversation a challenge, but the intimate setting mostly compensates for this, lending authenticity to the experience.

Delving into the menu reveals a thoughtful balance of local flavors with international twists — the grilled peri-peri chicken paired with a subtle mango salsa highlights an effective layering of spice and sweetness. Portions are generous but not excessive, aligning well with the price point, which reflects fair value for both quality and quantity. The service, while generally attentive, occasionally edges towards slow during peak hours, a minor ripple amid an otherwise smooth dining flow often observed in customer accounts accompanied by detailed photos that capture both presentation and ambiance.

What stands out beyond food and tune is the genuine sense of place achieved through the combination of culinary and musical offerings. It’s not just about eating or listening but about experiencing a cultural moment that resonates whether visiting for evening drinks or a full meal. Browsing through sustained Niki's Oasis Restaurant & Jazz Bar + restaurant discussions, it becomes clear that this spot has cultivated a niche appeal, drawing in jazz enthusiasts and food lovers alike who appreciate the atmosphere and steady craftsmanship, even if the occasional logistical hiccup means perfect nights are sometimes just within reach.

This is Joburg's hidden treasure;a mix of South African jazz and music gives you a welcoming embrace at the door. Your inner city jazz joint stands at this corner for almost 30 years now....oh the stories that those walls could tell! Legendary Jazz giants have graced the humble stage in this joint. The food is deliciously black South African cuisine...."seven colors" . So next time you smack your sondag kos....Niki's is the place to go.....just dare downtown Jozi....it's worth it.

I enjoyed the oxtail with samp and beans. The live music by the band was the cherry on top! Thanks Niki and well done to your staff for the superb service.

I was at Nizi’s in February 2023 we wondered in this very charming jazz club. We were treated royally by the owner and her staff they were so very kind to us to us making us feel like family; I called Niki my little sister she is truly a beautiful person. If you are in Johannesburg make this a must go place.
